Tony Williams
Residing in Jersey City, NJ, Tony Williams is an aspiring actor, singer, and songwriter of the gospel tradition and urban/soul R&B genre. He has been featured in several theatrical productions, the most recent being the highly praised gospel play “The Potter: Damaged but Yet Destined featuring Tony Award Winning actress Melba Moore and two time Grammy Award winning gospel recording artist Twinkie Clark of the legendary Clark Sisters. He portrayed the role of Justin, a devout and loyal husband with a wife and two kids; while fighting to help his wife break her addiction to drugs, alcohol, and prostitution, he knew God’s promise to deliver his wife from the hand of the devil would soon come to pass.
A few months prior to this performance he played the role of Tre Washington (“Gain the World, Lose Your Soul”) a young, misguided thug with a chip on his shoulder; to busy living the fast life of money, cars and women; it eventually caught up to him in the end. Prior to that Deacon Fred Robinson, (“Gossip”) a flirtatious, yet sometimes naive man of God who was looking for love in all the wrong places; however completely convinced God had sent him the woman he would one day marry. His most recent production was "After The Walk" a story of betrayal and forgiveness starring Kelly Price. He is now currently slated to star in the play "Yet Will I Trust Him;" modern day depiction of the story of Job.
Although he has not been acting for long Tony, understands the creativity involved, and respects the craft in which he has fully engulfed himself. He is extremely confident in his improved skills and anxious to make my mark; striving to attain excellence and do God’s will in every endeavor.
Currently, he is part of a male quartet, where he, along with fellow group members, have co-written and produced their long awaited album entitled "Love Therapy." In addition he has performed the National Anthem at the Barclay's Center; and works closely with Dr. Bob Lee (WBLS Radio Host) arranging and performing at community events in the Tri-State area.
